Lawrence Township Trustee Steve Talley today announced the hiring of Mark Bryson as the Deputy Trustee for his office.
Bryson, an Elkhart native, most recently served as the Manager of Employment for the City of Indianapolis. In this position Bryson was responsible for managing all operations of the employment section which included recruitment, application intake and referral, screening processes, employment testing, background checks and staff development.
“Mark brings an impressive depth of experience in state and local government as well as in the areas of higher education, welfare and workforce development,” said Trustee Talley. “These previous efforts make him a perfect fit for the Trustee’s Office. By utilizing his background and his understanding of public administration, Mark will be able to fine tune how our office operates in order to continue our efforts to improve service to our clients and the taxpayers of Lawrence Township.”
Amongst his duties as Deputy Trustee, Bryson will manage the day-to-day operation of the Trustee’s Office, coordinate Township initiatives and projects and represent the Trustee at meetings and community events.
Bryson is a graduate of Indiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science from the School of Education. He also has a Master’s in Public Management the from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs with a Public Management concentration.
Bryson lives in the Winding Ridge Neighborhood of Lawrence with his wife Cari.
