Lawrence Township Trustee Steve Talley Announces Internet and Computer Access at the Trustee’s Office
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – According to the U.S. Census American Community Survey, 81% (or 4 out of 5) of all United States households subscribe to broadband at home, while only 63% of all American households with annual incomes less than $35,000 have a broadband subscription. That 18-percentage-point difference illustrates the digital divide in America.
As the business world continues to move toward more connectivity via online applications, having access to the internet has become more vital than anytime pre-Covid.
With that, Trustee Steve Talley announces the opening of the Lawrence Township Trustee’s office computer lab. The Trustee’s office will continue to follow mandates and protocols set forth by the Marion County Health Department as needed, such as requiring masks and physical distancing, in order to keep patrons and employees safe.
“The trustee’s office is committed to serving the people of Lawrence Township as safely and as efficiently as possible,” Talley said. “As more people get vaccinated, we are able to open our doors with services which will allow families access to assistance, online job applications, and any other service our residents may need a computer connected to the internet in order to access.”
