Our community has seen natural disasters and large emergency evacuations over the past few years. After a tornado ravaged an eastside apartment complex, the Trustee’s office helped people move in to new apartments. When the Health Department closed the Oaktree apartment complex in February of 2014, the Trustee’s office provided financial and logistical help to relocate residents. Working with public safety officials and the Red Cross, the Lawrence Township Trustee will help provide needed shelter and other assistance to displaced residents when future disasters strike.
